Hunting Terms

  • You must obtain your own Kansas hunting license.

  • You must also obtain federal, state, and hip stamps.

  • Meals, drinks, and snacks are not included. Please come prepared.

  • Transportation can be provided between the hunting site and your lodging.

  • Transportation will be provided on the Kansas River.

  • Decoys, calls, and blinds will be provided for waterfowl and deer hunts.

  • You must bring your own hunting clothing (e.g., waders), ammunition, and a gun.

  • Kaw River Outfitters, LLC is not responsible for death, injury or lost equipment.

  • Prices are subject to change and taxes will be added (not included in prices listed on site).

  • Full payment of hunt due prior to the hunt.

  • No evening waterfowl hunts, this allows guides to scout for the next day.

  • A liability waiver must be signed prior to the hunt.

Hunting Safety Regulations

  1. Treat every firearm with the same respect due a loaded firearm.

  2. Always keep the firearm pointed in a safe direction. Do not load firearm until safely in the stand, keeping the safety on until ready to shoot. Keep your finger off the trigger until ready to shoot.

  3. Identify your target and what is beyond it. Know the identifying features of the game you hunt.

  4. Be sure the barrel and action are clear of obstructions and that you have only ammunition of the proper size for the firearm you are carrying.

  5. Unload firearms when not in use. Leave the actions open. Firearms should be carried empty in cases to and from hunting area.

  6. Never point a firearm at anything you do not want to shoot. Do not horseplay with a firearm.

  7. Never climb a fence or tree, or jump a ditch or log with a loaded firearm. Never pull a firearm towards you by the muzzle.

  8. Hunt in your designated hunting area only. Do not stray from your area for any reason.

  9. No alcohol or other mind-altering drug may be ingested eight hours prior to or during the hunt.

  10. No hunter may track an animal alone or without a Kaw River Outfitters staff member or designated hunt volunteer.

  11. Emergency phone numbers: Will be provided day of hunt, please contact us before hunt if you would like them.

  12. All violators of any safety protocol will be immediately removed, without refund, from the property and prohibited from any future hunting opportunities at Kaw River Outfitters.
